Job summary

The Cavan Crystal Hotel is seeking an Accommodation Assistant to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in bedrooms and public areas. The role requires working both weekdays and weekends and involves restocking items and reporting maintenance issues to ensure guest satisfaction.

Candidates with prior hotel experience are preferred, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a hotel setting is advantageous.
• Must be available to work both weekdays and weekends.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned bedrooms, bathrooms, corridor areas, balcony areas and public/leisure areas to the highest standards using approved products.
• Ensure stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished to the required standards.
• Complete assigned areas within the required time with high cleanliness.
• Restock supplies as directed by the Accommodation Manager/Supervisor.
• Report maintenance defects that affect guest experience or safety.
• Adhere to all systems and procedures in place.
• Dispose of wet waste, glass and recyclables safely and appropriately.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Cavan Crystal Hotel as an Accommodation Assistant.

The Accommodation Assistant will ensure the highest level of cleanliness and attention to detail in all Hotel areas and bedrooms. The position requires the candidate to work both weekdays and weekends.

Cavan Crystal Hotel is one of Cavan’s leading 4-star hotel’s. Located less than 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Cavan Town, it features an 18m swimming pool, an award-winning Zest health and fitness club, Conference Centre, Atrium Bar and Glassworks Restaurant.

Role/ Responsibilities

• To clean assigned bedrooms, bathrooms, corridor areas, balcony areas and public/leisure areas to the highest standards, using only the approved chemicals / cleaning materials and equipment to the highest level of standard.
• Ensuring stocks of bathroom and bedroom items are replenished to the correct standards.
• To ensure assigned areas are completed within the required time and to the highest level of cleanliness.
• To restock supplies as required or directed by the Accommodation Manager/ Accommodation Supervisor’s.
• To report any maintenance defects or otherwise which would affect the quality of the guest experience and/or, safety of the building.
• To adhere to all systems and procedures in place.
• To ensure the removal and safe and appropriate disposal of wet waste, glass and recyclables.

Requirements

• Notwithstanding a positive attitude to the duties assigned, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience working in a Hotel in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Be available to work both week days and weekends.
• Ability to work alone in an efficient manner.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and the ability to manage time efficiently.
