Job summary

Excel Recruitment is seeking a Kitchen Porter in Bandon, Republic of Ireland. The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a competitive rate of €23.88 per hour. A full driving licence is required, and there is potential for further work after the two-week holiday cover period.

This temporary assignment involves assisting busy kitchen teams, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting chefs with basic preparation and service tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, or in a busy kitchen environment is an advantage.
• HACCP and Manual Handling certification is required (training can be facilitated).
• Flexibility to take on temporary and short-term shifts across Cork.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment thoroughly.
• Keep kitchen, back-of-house, and wash-up areas clean, tidy, and organised.
• Support chefs and catering teams with basic preparation and service duties where required.
• Dispose of waste correctly and follow recycling procedures.
• Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures.
• Work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.

Package Summary

This is a Monday to Friday position with working hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, offering a competitive rate of €23.88 per hour. Candidates must hold a full driving licence and be flexible to travel to client location when required.

Please note that this is a temporary, holiday cover for approximately two weeks.
There is potentially further work after this date.
