Harri seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Chef and management in a busy kitchen. You will ensure crockery, cutlery and utensils are stored correctly and that kitchen and delivery areas stay clean in line with policy and HACCP regulations.

Promoting hygienic practices, adhering to HACCP and health & safety rules, maintaining uniform standards, and participating in training sessions are key requirements of this role.

Qualificações

• Minimum 1 year experience as Kitchen Assistant or Kitchen Porter.

Responsabilidades

• To arrive promptly on duty as scheduled in a full, clean & presentable uniform at all times in accordance with company grooming policy.
• Maintain the highest level of personal and work cleanliness and hygiene, and throughout all duties comply with HACCP requirements.
• To ensure that the agreed standard of uniform and personal hygiene is carried out in the kitchen at all times.
• To ensure all cleaning schedules are adhered to, and hygiene is checked daily.
• To comply with company legislations regarding Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Customer Care and Security.
• To ensure all items of crockery, cutlery and glassware are washed, dried, polished and stored properly.
• To carry out cleaning duties as outlined in the kitchen-cleaning schedule.
• To empty bins when full.
• To be aware of any hazardous substances and to ensure that relevant protective clothing is worn and that the directions are followed.
• To attend training sessions and meetings as required.
• To ensure that your area of responsibility is maintained in a safe, hygienic, healthy and hazard-free manner and environment.
• To comply with the delivery intake of produce.
• To comply with company regulations regarding fire, health and safety, hygiene, customer care and security. Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct.
• To read, understand and carry out your responsibilities as defined in the Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues immediately to management,
• All staff of the company are required to make themselves available for training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given.
