Job summary

Evergreen Care invites applications for a Kitchen Assistant across locations in Ireland. The role involves maintaining the catering department in a clean, hygienic environment, preparing and serving meals under supervision, and ensuring attractive presentation.

In-house training is provided to help you progress, with opportunities to move towards Cook's position and a friendly, resident-centered workplace. The role is FTC with shifts of 8 or 10 hours, with meals on shifts and free parking.

Qualifications

• Must follow Basic Food Hygiene standards.
• Adhere to HACCP principles.
• Prepare food as directed by the cook.
• Cook under supervision and serve meals.
• Ensure quality presentation of dishes.
• Encourage economical use of kitchen resources.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the catering department and keep areas clean and hygienic.
• Ensure a tidy, warm, inviting, and correctly set dining room.
• Prepare food as directed by the cook and cook under supervision.
• Serve meals and ensure quality presentation.
• Keep the kitchen well-stocked and resource-efficient.
• Promote a home-like environment with resident dignity at center.
