The Avalon Centre in Sligo is seeking an Assistant Cook to join our community kitchen team. You will help prepare hot meals for afterschool and older adults and assist in baking fresh goods for other groups.

We value reliability, initiative and the ability to work to strict timelines; HACCP training will be provided prior to commencing. No prior experience is required, as accredited training supports your career development.

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

We are looking for someone hard working and reliable, who can work on their own initiative and is a good time keeper due to strict timelines. The successful candidate will work along side our head chef.
