Job summary

Vickerstock are partnering with a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor in North Dublin to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor for their growing commercial team. You will learn from experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and develop your technical and commercial capabilities.

The role offers a clear path for progression, a salary of €40,000 - €55,000 with a €5,000 car allowance, relocation accommodation options, and 21 days' annual leave, with a supportive team and strong

Qualifications

• A degree or third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Some experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial environment would be advantageous.
• An interest in developing a career within civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Good numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced commercial professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the commercial management and administration of civil engineering projects.
• Supporting the preparation, monitoring and forecasting of project costs.
• Assisting with cost simulations and financial reporting.
• Monitoring project expenditure and identifying potential cost variations.
• Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyors with day-to-day commercial activities.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation.
• Working closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure effective cost control.

The successful candidate will join a supportive commercial team with an accessible senior management structure, providing the opportunity to learn directly from experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and develop their technical and commercial capabilities.
