Global Professional Consultants in Dublin seeks a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support large civil infrastructure projects. The role focuses on NEC contracts, cost control, procurement, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 1 year experience in quantity surveying within civil engineering or internship.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control and procurement processes.
• Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
• Proficient in COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors and suppliers through to final account.
• Produce accurate progress accounts.
• Prepare and assess interim and final valuations for progress payments.
• Monitor and report on project costs.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks and cost overruns.
• Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders.
• Stay updated on industry innovations and regulations.

Job description

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, Ireland’s largest Civil Contractor have an exciting opportunity for Junior Quantity Surveyors to join their team working on a large-scale civil infrastructure projects in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NEC contracts and a strong background in civil engineering projects. Candidates will be working on residential and large civil infrastructure projects.

Role:

These include but are not limited to:

• Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors & suppliers through to final account
• Produce accurate progress accounts
• Preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments
• Monitor and report on project costs
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
• Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders
• Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations etc

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 1 year experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector or college placement/ internship
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
• Proficient in the use of COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
