Job summary

Suir Engineering in Ireland is seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer to join a semiconductor project based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

You will assist across construction stages from procurement through handover, working within a multidisciplinary team. You will produce system drawings using CAD/BIM, identify equipment needs and prepare detailed submittals, collaborating with QA/QC and clients to ensure timely, safe project delivery.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Qualification.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organised individual with attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of coordinated system drawings, plans through CAD and/or BIM.
• Identify Mechanical equipment requirements.
• Select plant and equipment to meet specifications.
• Prepare detailed technical submittals for approval.
• Liaise with QA/QC to ensure works meet specifications.
• Consider cost, safety and time constraints.
• Interface with clients, vendors and project management.
• Assist commissioning teams to ensure smooth handover from construction.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer to join Suir Engineering. This position will be based in Leixlip, on a Semiconductor project.

Overall Role Objective

The Junior Mechanical Engineer assists on projects with all stages of construction from procurement through to handover.

What you will be doing?

• Assist in the production of coordinated system drawings, plans through CAD and/or BIM.
• Identify Mechanical equipment requirements.
• Select plant and equipment to meet specifications.
• Prepare detailed technical submittals for approval.
• Liaise and work with QA/QC to ensure that all mechanical construction works are carried out in accordance with specifications.
• Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
• Interface with clients, vendors, client project management and other disciplines ensuring the highest level of service is provided.
• Engage with commissioning teams to ensure handover is planned from construction phase and managed smoothly.
