Job summary

Protex AI in Dublin is seeking an entry-level IT Security Analyst to support daily IT operations and core security tooling. You will work under the Head of Security, Risk & Compliance, contributing to ISO 27001 maintenance and SOC 2 Type I readiness while growing in a fast-scaling startup environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on operational security, incident triage, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field (entry-level).
• Foundational understanding of core IT operations, networking concepts, and OSs (macOS and Windows).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong customer-service focus.
• Organisational skills with meticulous documentation and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Security-curiosity and self-driven interest in cybersecurity, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with AWS services.
• Willingness to be in Dublin office at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily IT operations and internal security tooling.
• Provisioning and de-provisioning of systems access and devices.
• Monitor security alerts and triage logs/dashboards.
• Support vulnerability management and tool findings.
• Assist with audits and ISO 27001/SOC 2 readiness.
• Assist with vendor risk reviews and client security due diligence.
• Assist with deployment/configuration/integration of security solutions.
• Provide L1/L2 helpdesk support and basic troubleshooting.
