Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to join our Dublin team on civil infrastructure and public realm projects. This role offers hands-on experience and a clear path for career development on site.

The successful candidate will support setting out, surveying, measurements and daily records, liaising with site managers and design teams, and ensuring QA and safety standards are met on busy construction sites in Dublin.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 12 years site engineering or civil engineering experience.
• Experience on civil engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with setting out, surveying and reading construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enthusiastic, practical and eager to continue developing on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day site operations on projects including footpaths, roadworks, bus corridors, cycle infrastructure and public realm works.
• Support setting out and surveying activities.
• Carry out site measurements, levels and quality checks.
• Track daily site progress and maintain accurate site records.
• Liaise with Site Managers, design teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Assist with interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to quality assurance and health & safety compliance.
• Assist with resolving technical issues and day-to-day site queries.
• Support the coordination of works to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 12 years site experience to further develop their career while gaining hands‑on experience on civil infrastructure and public realm projects.
