Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan is seeking a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to support on ongoing construction projects in Galway. You will assist with H&S activities, implement and monitor the EHS management system, and promote a positive safety culture on-site with management, contractors and workers.

The role requires a recognised EHS degree or NEBOSH diploma, 1+ year experience, and a full driving licence. IT skills with MS Office and database experience are expected, with strong teamwork and

Qualifications

• Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).
• 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• H&S construction experience beneficial but not essential.
• Must have full driver’s licence.
• Ability to prioritise work requirements and handle multiple tasks.
• IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience.
• Must work well within a team and be able to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Health & Safety on ongoing construction projects.
• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Company’s EHS Management System on the project.
• Promote a positive H&S culture on-site with Site Management, Contractors, and workers.
• Monitor EHS compliance on-site and generate weekly inspections & reports.
• Attend relevant HSE meetings as required.
• Develop, maintain and foster collaborative relationships with the wider project team.
