Job summary

O'Hehirs Cafe in Claremorris invites applications for a Junior Deli Assistant. You will help prepare and serve fresh foods while delivering friendly, customer-focused service in a close-knit team.

This is a full-time role with 30–40 hours per week across 5 days, no evenings, and weekend availability required. Prior deli or barista experience is preferred, and a valid work permit is noted for applicants.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar deli/food role.
• Confidence handling cash and operating a till accurately.
• Barista training or experience with quality coffee.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of teas, coffees, and beverages.
• Serve sandwiches and promote daily specials to customers.
• Prepare hot food dishes with care and presentation.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Operate the till and complete end-of-day cashing-up.
