Job summary

O'Hehirs in Galway is hiring a Junior Deli Assistant for our westside cafe. You will help create a friendly, customer-focused atmosphere, serving fresh food and beverages with care as part of a close-knit team.

The role is full-time (min 35 hours per week), with shifts across 5 days over 7 days; no evening shifts. We offer staff meals, free parking, staff discount, and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a deli or similar customer-facing role is an advantage.
• Full-time for 35+ hours per week.
• Willingness to work across 5 days including weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving teas, coffees, and other beverages.
• Serving sandwiches and promoting daily specials.
• Preparing hot food with focus on quality and presentation.
• Keep work area clean and welcoming.
• Operate till and complete end-of-day cashing-up procedures.
• Support bakery and wash-up areas during busy periods.
• Welcome and train new team members.
