The Mespil Hotel is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and support high-quality food preparation and presentation. You will assist in cooking under the guidance of senior chefs while maintaining hygiene, safety and operational standards.

This entry-level to junior role offers exposure to a busy hotel kitchen, with opportunities to learn, develop culinary skills, and work flexible shifts across weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment is desirable or entry-level roles accepted.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and HACCP hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under guidance of senior chefs.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and FIFO stock rotation.
• Support kitchen during service for smooth operations.
