Job summary

Kearys Motor Group in Little Island, Cork, is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join its new BYD Eastgate facility. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand-new workshop equipped with industry-leading equipment.

You will begin a four-year apprenticeship with off-site phases, developing repair and service skills while working as part of a supportive team. Full driving licence required, and a positive, proactive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year apprenticeship with off-site phases.
• Full, clean driving licence is essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• A very positive attitude and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles worked on are carefully handled and safely managed on-site.
• Maintain and develop skills in repair, service and maintenance of vehicles.
• Utilise special tools, service test equipment and training to improve outcomes.
• Attend internal and external training courses as directed by management.
• Keep the workshop tidy and presentable at all times.
• Advise the Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser of any additional work.
