We are looking for a hands‑on, results‑driven IT Site Lead to own the technology experience for our Cork office. As part of our global IT team, you will be the go‑to technical expert on site: keeping users productive, running day‑to‑day IT operations, and helping us modernize the Service Desk through self‑service and automation.
This is an individual contributor role with lead responsibilities. You will set the standard for support quality at the site, guide local processes, and partner closely with global IT, vendors, and business leaders.
What You’ll Do
- Lead site IT operations. Own day‑to‑day IT at the Cork office, keeping systems healthy, monitoring performance, and resolving issues quickly. Serve as the technical escalation point for the site.
- Resolve tickets as L1/L2 support. Work the FreshService queue, prioritizing incidents and requests to meet SLAs and keep users informed.
- Support Windows and Mac endpoints. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and wireless (Wi‑Fi) issues, and manage devices with Intune and Jamf.
- Deploy and refresh devices. Provision laptops and desktops, deploy software, and manage the hardware lifecycle.
- Protect the endpoint. Help maintain our endpoint security stack and ensure devices and users follow security policies and compliance requirements.
- Manage identity and messaging. Provision and maintain users, groups, and distribution lists in Active Directory and Exchange.
- Support mobile devices. Manage Apple, Android, and other mobile devices using MAM policies.
- Run site infrastructure. Provision and troubleshoot file and print services, support and troubleshoot site wired and wireless Wi‑Fi networks (coverage, connectivity, and access point issues, in coordination with network teams), and maintain branch‑office infrastructure.
- Support collaboration spaces. Keep conference rooms and AV equipment ready and reliable.
- Manage assets and purchasing. Maintain accurate hardware inventory, run the IT purchasing workflow, and coordinate with vendors.
- Improve the service. Identify and recommend self‑service and automation opportunities that reduce ticket volume and improve user experience.
- Communicate and document. Write clear technical documentation and keep stakeholders, from business teams to senior management and global IT, informed. Assist with basic facilities tasks and installs, moves, adds, and changes as needed.
What You Bring
- 5+ years on a Service Desk, with at least 2 years supporting and troubleshooting site infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in Windows and macOS, plus wireless (Wi‑Fi) troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune and Jamf.
- ITIL Foundation knowledge and hands‑on administration of an ITSM platform (FreshService preferred).
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, and file/print services.
- Experience with inventory management for hardware.
- Excellent technical documentation, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and a quick‑learner mindset.
- Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent work experience.
Bonus Points
- Security awareness for frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and FedRAMP.
- Experience building self‑service workflows or automation in a Service Desk.
Work Setup
This is an on‑site position at our Cork office. Flexibility to travel to other European countries on an as‑needed basis is expected to support installs, projects, and site needs.
