Job summary

Barden | B Corp is hiring an IT Manager in Cork to lead governance and regulatory compliance while performing hands-on technical work across infrastructure and cybersecurity. The role involves owning IT policies, directing operational resilience, and building the IT function as the business scales.

The successful candidate will report to senior stakeholders, drive policy development, and manage external MSP relationships in a regulated financial services environment located onsite in Cork.

Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory/compliance frameworks such as DORA, NIS2, or ISO 27001.
• Practical experience writing IT policies and procedures, not only reviewing or auditing them.
• Comfortable reporting to board and committee level and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Strong technical background across infrastructure, cybersecurity, or MSP management.
• Regulated environment experience, ideally financial services or similar.
• Senior enough to operate independently and lead the function.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Take ownership of IT governance and regulatory compliance, including DORA and Central Bank requirements.
• Lead on operational resilience, building on the gap analysis already completed.
• Write, review, and own the IT policies and procedures for the business, putting in place the framework the new IT function will run on.
• Manage infrastructure, cybersecurity, and firewalls day to day, along with the outsourced MSP relationship.

OTHER DETAILS

• Fully onsite, based at the company's office in Cork.
• You will be on the road across the business's Cork branches, so a full driving licence and own transport are required.
