Job summary

Dgd shredding in Raheen, County Limerick, is seeking an IT Destruction Specialist to join its Operations Team. This hands-on role focuses on secure processing, dismantling and destruction of IT equipment for recycling, with full training provided.

You will record activities accurately and work across departments to meet targets. Salary is commensurate with experience, with Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Good general computer skills and familiarity with common IT software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and SharePoint is desirable.
• An IT-related Level 5/6/7 qualification would be an advantage.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, punctual and able to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming IT equipment against orders and report discrepancies.
• Itemise, record and track equipment using relevant systems.
• Sort and segregate materials for processing and recycling.
• Dismantle IT equipment for secure destruction and recycling.
• Inspect equipment for suitability and handle non-conforming waste per procedures.
• Prepare processed materials for shipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
