Job summary

Club na bPáistí, an Irish-language after‑school club in Ennis, is seeking a friendly, dependable assistant to join our team. You will help supervise children aged 5–12 and encourage Irish usage through playful activities and daily conversation.

You’ll work with experienced colleagues in a team‑based, in‑person role, Monday to Friday during the school term, with Garda Vetting required. Prior childcare experience helps but is not essential as we provide support.

Qualifications

• Ability to converse in Irish.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Patient, friendly and dependable.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Available Monday to Friday during the school term.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children alongside colleagues.
• Talk and play with the children through Irish.
• Assist with games, arts and crafts, outdoor play and activities.
• Encourage children to participate and behave positively.
• Help prepare and tidy activity areas.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment as a team.
