Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding Ireland is seeking a Head of Customs & Trade Compliance to lead the development and execution of the customs and trade compliance strategy. You will guide regulatory interpretation, oversee implementation of compliance programs and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure compliant, efficient freight clearance.

The role requires extensive experience in customs and trade regulation, strategic leadership, and the ability to build strong external relationships

Qualifications

• 12-15 years customs experience
• 8 years management experience
• Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the Customs & Trade Compliance strategy for Ireland, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee planning, implementation and review of plans, budgets and initiatives for compliance goals.
• Provide expert guidance on customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Customs Authorities and government agencies.
• Act as escalation point for customs and trade compliance matters for internal stakeholders and customers.
