Job summary

Huawei Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Junior IP/Datacom Technical Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for IP/Datacom network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls and SDN. You will support end-to-end delivery of network projects, diagnose complex issues, create documentation, and collaborate with partners to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of IP/Datacom technologies (routing, switching, MPLS, VPN, QoS, automation).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex topics.
• Willingness to travel within WEU when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and expertise for IP/Datacom network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, SDN.
• Support end-to-end delivery of IP/Datacom network projects, including solution design validation, troubleshooting, migration activities, and on-site/remote technical assistance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during project implementation and operation, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer/partner satisfaction.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge-sharing materials for the team and partners.
