Job summary

SEI Investments is seeking an Investment Operations Assistant Manager to oversee a dedicated team within the fund accounting function. The role centers on valuation tasks, including pricing, corporate actions, and dividend processing, with responsibilities aligned to SAS 70 controls.

The position requires a BS/BA in Accounting or related field, at least five years in mutual fund accounting, and two years of supervisory experience. SEI offers a hybrid working model and a broad benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of an Investment Operations team handling core valuation functions.
• Sign-off on outputs in line with procedures (SAS 70).
• Input trades through automated trading system and monitor daily activities.
• Develop operational standards and drive efficiencies across the team.
• Support staff development, training, and performance reviews.
• Maintain relationships with clients, agents, custodians and managers.

Position Description

The Investment Operations Assistant Manager will be responsible for the oversight of an Investment Operations team. The Investment Operations team centralizes some of the primary valuation functions across the fund accounting department including pricing, corporate actions, and dividend processing.

Key responsibilities

• Daily, weekly and monthly sign-off on the output in agreement with SAS 70 procedures
• Trade input through automated trading system
• Monitoring day to day work involving securities, including receipts of dividends, pricing, and corporate actions
• Facilitate in the design and implementation of core efficiencies
• Create and implement operational standards and procedures across the team
• Assist with the professional development of staff and supervisors
• Train new employees
• Stay abreast of current industry developments
• Maintain a good working relationship with clients, transfer agents, custodians and internal relationship managers
• Coordinate human resources functions, including hiring and periodic employee performance appraisals
• Write and discuss employees’ performance appraisals

What you bring to the table

• B.S./B.A. in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of mutual fund accounting experience
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience
