Job summary

Primark in Dublin seeks a Stock Accounting & Controls Manager to provide financial oversight, governance and control of inventory accounting, ensuring stock balances and P&L impacts are accurate. You will work with the outsourced provider, Sales & Margin, Supply Chain, Technology and Internal Controls to drive improvements.

The role covers end-to-end stock accounting, period-end reporting, audits, and control enhancements, with a focus on identifying risks and delivering business change

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with 5+ years in high-volume or retail environments.
• Strong understanding of financial control and period end reporting.
• Experience in inventory accounting, stock control and financial controls.
• Experience overseeing outsourced/shared service operations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Own governance framework for inventory accounting and stock balance sheet accounts.
• Oversee stock accounting activities by outsourced service provider and ensure policy compliance.
• Review reconciliations, variances, provisions, and write-offs and escalate issues.
• Lead period end reporting, inventory governance and audit support.
• Drive continual improvement and automation across inventory accounting processes.
