Job summary

Office Buddies is seeking an Inventory Accountant in Dublin 12 to manage end-to-end inventory control and reporting. The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, CIMA/ACCA part qualification, and strong Excel/Power BI skills. You will work with ERP systems such as Sage (Intact) to ensure accurate stock valuation and costing.

Qualifications

• CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified accountant with 3+ years' experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment from a previous role.
• Good understanding of stock valuation and standard costing.
• Highly proficient in Excel and Power BI.
• Highly experienced in use of ERP systems such as Sage (Intact).
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of inventory process control.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly production and purchase reports.
• Review inventory data across all stock locations in the system.
• Reconcile the accounting system to the inventory system weekly and monthly.
• Coordinate and oversee stock counts with warehouse and production teams.
• Investigate differences between system and physical stock.
• Update standard costs in the system and review stock values for accuracy.
• Investigate variances with the production team and post month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile goods received not invoiced and goods dispatched not invoiced.
• Prepare yield and wastage reports and postings.

Role: Inventory accountant

Salary: 40-50k D.O.E

Location: Dublin 12

We are looking for an detail orientated Inventory Accountant for one of our clients based in Dublin 12. A CIMA or ACCA full or part-qualification is need as well as experience in inventory process control. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that is undergoing a period of growth and expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• End-to-end ownership of inventory process control
• Issue daily, weekly and monthly production and purchase reports
• Review inventory data across all stock locations in the system
• Reconcile the accounting system to the inventory system weekly and
  monthly
• Coordinate and oversee stock counts with warehouse and production
  teams
• Investigate differences between system and physical stock
• Ensure inventory discrepancies are permanently addressed
• Update standard costs in the system, review stock values for accuracy, and
  highlight recurring usage or yield discrepancies to the commercial
  accountant
• Investigate material, labour and purchase price variances with the
  production team, and post month-end variance journals
• Reconcile goods received not invoiced and goods dispatched not invoiced
• Prepare yield and wastage reports
• Storage analysis and posting of accruals
• Balance sheet reconciliations where applicable.

Requirements:

• CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified accountant with 3+ years'
  experience.
• Experience in amanufacturing environment from a previous role
• Good understanding of stock valuation and standard costing
• Highly Proficient in Excel and Power BI
• Highly experienced in use of ERP systems such as Sage (Intact)
