Job summary

IT Search has partnered with a leading healthcare organisation to recruit an Interoperability Specialist to join its Digital Engineering & Interoperability team. This hands-on role focuses on secure healthcare data integrations across clinical, operational and external systems, working with FHIR, HL7, APIs and InterSystems, with exposure to complex healthcare data flows.

IT Search has partnered with a leading healthcare organisation to recruit an Interoperability Specialist to join its Digital Engineering & Interoperability team.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on building and supporting secure healthcare data integrations across clinical, operational and external systems. You'll work across FHIR, HL7, APIs and InterSystems, with strong exposure to complex healthcare data flows.

You'll be responsible for:

• Designing and supporting integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR and REST APIs
• Developing interfaces, transformations, routing logic and data mappings
• Working with InterSystems Health Connect / IRIS for Health
• Using SQL for data analysis, reconciliation and troubleshooting
• Building scripts and technical tooling to automate integration processes
• Troubleshooting issues across applications, databases, APIs and middleware
• Working with engineering, clinical, vendor and architecture teams to deliver reliable integrations

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in healthcare integration / interoperability
• Hands-on HL7 and FHIR experience
• Strong API and integration development skills
• Experience with InterSystems Health Connect, HealthShare, Ensemble or IRIS
• Strong SQL capability
• Good understanding of healthcare data flows, mapping and transformation

Experience with FHIR servers, SMART on FHIR, OAuth2/OIDC, healthcare terminology or cloud integration platforms would be advantageous.
