Job summary

InterSystems Corporation in Ireland is seeking a Technical Specialist to perform custom development tasks, including system integrations and data migration, and to support the technical implementation tools of InterSystems healthcare applications.

Responsibilities include site-specific technical setup, reporting, data extraction, analytics cubes, environment configuration, and upgrades/releases to ensure solutions meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in software development, programming, and/or application analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills with creative solutions and identifying issues through analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and experience conducting customer training, workshops, and presentations.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and database methodologies.
• Ability to design and write technical documents.
• Well-versed in Internet/Intranet concepts.

• Ability to conduct training and develop training materials.
• Ability to figure things out independently in ambiguous or unstructured situations, take initiative and address issues without direction.

• Knowledge of Health Information Exchange (HIE) standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites for technical support and/or to provide training, with possible travel up to five days a week.
• Ensure site-specific technical setup activities such as integrations, data migration, reporting, data extraction, analytics cubes, and environment configuration.
• Manage upgrades and releases to ensure solutions meet project specifications and requirements.

Job description

The Technical Specialist will perform custom development tasks, including integration to systems and devices, and support the technical implementation tools of InterSystems healthcare applications. Responsibilities include site‑specific technical setup activities such as integrations, data migration, reporting, data extraction, analytics cubes, database updates, environment configuration, and management of upgrades and releases to ensure solutions satisfy project specifications and are deployed in line with project requirements.

The Specialist must be available to visit customer sites (e.g., hospitals/laboratories) and implementation partners for technical support and/or to provide technical training, with the possibility of spending up to five days away from home each week.
