Job summary

NRL in Cork, Ireland is seeking an experienced Intermediate Structural Engineer to support life sciences projects. You will join a collaborative team focused on precision and innovative industrial design.

The role is on-site in Cork with occasional client meetings. Requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong Eurocode knowledge and TEKLA Designer skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing building structures.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode, BSI and Irish standards; TEKLA Designer proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural design calculations and detailed reports for assigned project elements.
• Assist with creating and developing 3D Revit models.
• Review and verify structural drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Attend internal design meetings and client review sessions.
• Ensure all deliverables meet agreed deadlines and quality standards.
• Adhere to all relevant design codes and client protocols.
