Job summary

Jacobs in Ireland is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join a dynamic team on life sciences and advanced manufacturing projects. You will draft detailed designs, develop 3D models, and support construction with RFIs and on-site coordination.

The role emphasizes collaboration with structural, environmental, and mechanical engineers while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3-7 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in life sciences or advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of drainage design, road layouts and underground utilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Membership or eligibility for Engineers Ireland (MIEI or CEng preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior civil engineers to draft and develop detailed designs, including road layouts, drainage systems, SuDS systems, and underground utilities.
  • Utilize design tools to create 3D models of proposed works, integrating them into comprehensive project models.
  • Provide technical support during construction phases, including responding to RFIs and liaising with onsite teams.
  • Contribute to the preparation of contract documents, technical reviews, and approvals during construction phases.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards in all designs and documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Support project management activities, including risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, and progress reporting.

What You'll Need
