Job summary

Fáilte Ireland is seeking an experienced interim executive to lead the Marketing, Communications and Business Development Directorate. Reporting to the CEO, the Interim Director will provide strategic leadership, guide investment decisions, and steer a newly restructured operating model while delivering on corporate priorities.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in marketing, communications, business development
• Experience with Government Departments/state agencies and influencing at senior levels
• Proven track record delivering high-impact marketing and communications strategies
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing substantial budgets
• Excellent judgement with political awareness and credibility with stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and budget management
• Strong communication and influencing skills for senior decision makers
• Understanding of tourism marketing, consumer behaviour and data-informed evaluation
• Commitment to public service values, governance and outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead the Directorate with strategic direction, governance and delivery of work plans
• Contribute to executive decision making and cross-functional leadership
• Develop insight, data, and market intelligence to inform investment
• Lead marketing and demand development to drive domestic tourism growth
• Manage communications across government, industry, media and internal audiences
• Drive business development and partnerships for sustainable growth
• Oversee budgeting and performance targets during organisational change
