Accenture's The Dock in Dublin seeks an experienced Interaction Designer to shape intuitive digital experiences and services. You will translate complex business needs into meaningful interfaces, prototype ideas and contribute across research, design, and implementation with multidisciplinary teams.

Interaction Designer – The Dock, Accenture

The Dock is Accenture's flagship Research & Development and Global Innovation Centre, based in Dublin's Grand Canal Dock.

About The Role

We are looking for an Interaction Designer to join our multidisciplinary team at The Dock.

In this role, you will help design intuitive, engaging and accessible digital products and services, translating complex business and user needs into meaningful experiences.

You will contribute to projects from early-stage research and concept development through to prototyping, detailed interface design and implementation.

Working closely with other designers, software engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders, you will help create innovative solutions that combine human-centred design with emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Interaction and Product Design

• Design intuitive and engaging digital experiences across different platforms, devices and touchpoints.
• Translate user needs, business requirements and technical considerations into clear design concepts and solutions.
• Create sketches, user flows, wireframes, information architectures, high-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes.
• Support the end-to-end design process, from initial discovery and concept development through to detailed design and implementation.
• Apply interaction design, service design and human-centred design principles to create accessible and effective user experiences.

Research and Prototyping

• Support user research activities to better understand user behaviours, needs and challenges.
• Analyse and synthesise research findings to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and test prototypes to validate ideas, gather feedback and refine design solutions.
• Explore new interaction patterns and design approaches using emerging technologies, including Generative AI, conversational interfaces, voice and mixed reality.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with designers, engineers, data scientists, strategists and subject‑matter experts throughout the design and development process.
• Clearly communicate design concepts and decisions through presentations, prototypes and visual storytelling.
• Explain and justify design decisions using user insights, business objectives and technical considerations.
• Participate in design reviews, contribute constructive feedback and incorporate feedback into your work.
• Work within multidisciplinary, agile project teams to support the delivery of high-quality digital products and services.

Innovation and Design Community

• Contribute to a culture of experimentation, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Explore how emerging technologies can be applied responsibly to improve user experiences.
