Job summary

Nuvo Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for an Intellectual Disability Day Service in Birr, Co. Offaly. This part-time role runs 9am to 4:30pm for three fixed days each week, providing person-centred support to service users in a stable day service setting.

The successful candidate will have a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support or Nursing Studies, a valid Irish driving licence, and a commitment to consistent scheduling. Driving to outings may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support or Nursing Studies (essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support service users with intellectual disability in personal care and daily living activities.
• Encourage participation in day service programmes and activities.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and person-centred care.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging care environment.
• Follow individual care plans and report concerns.
