Job summary

SGS Gas Analysis Services in Rathnew, Co Wicklow, seeks an Instrumentation Engineer to deliver gas sampling and instrumentation projects from concept to completion. You will design, install, commission bespoke gas analysers and CEMS systems, lead on-site activities, and support customers globally while ensuring GMP and industry standards compliance.

Qualifications

Level 7/8 Engineering Degree in Instrumentation, E&I or related field.
Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential.
Electrical / Instrumentation background with process systems knowledge.
Hazardous area experience and CompEx trained.
Project lead experience and ability to train apprentices.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver instrumentation and gas analysis projects from concept to completion.
Design, install, and commission bespoke gas sampling and analyser systems.
Manage on-site installation and commissioning, ensuring safety and quality.
Develop control/automation strategies and understand Modbus, Profibus, RS232.
Ensure GMP compliance and support calibration, testing, and standards.
