Job summary

SGS Gas Analysis Services, part of the SGS Group, seeks a motivated Workshop Technician to join our Cashel facility. This hands-on role supports maintenance, calibration, repair, and preparation of gas analysis equipment used across industries.

Work closely with engineers and technical specialists in a fully workshop-based environment. The position offers practical training, attention to detail, and opportunities to grow in instrumentation technology.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Organise packaging and shipment of instrumentation and equipment.
  • Receive and offload deliveries from couriers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop and warehouse.
  • Assist engineers in preparing equipment for field service activities.
  • Carry out basic servicing, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Support analyser repairs, system assembly, and workshop projects.
  • Assist with utility gas management and workshop operations.
  • Follow SGS procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

About the Role

SGS GAS is seeking a motivated and organised Workshop Technician to join our Instrumentation Team at our Cashel facility. This is a hands‑on role supporting the maintenance, calibration, repair, and preparation of gas analysis equipment used across a wide range of industries.

Working closely with experienced engineers and technical specialists, this position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong practical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in instrumentation and engineering technology.

Job Description
