Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) recruits a permanent full-time Support Worker to provide care in Renfrewshire Mental Health Inpatient Wards across Dykebar, Royal Alexandra and Leverndale Hospitals. The role requires rotation across sites, working with adults and older adults in a multi-disciplinary team, and PVG/Disclosure Scotland checks.

The post includes the standard NHS duties, with a focus on timely, compassionate patient care and effective communication within the ward team.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland checks.
• Ability to work across the three sites (Dykebar, Royal Alexandra, Leverndale).
• Experience caring for people in a health care environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Function as a support worker within a multi-disciplinary team for a defined patient group.
• Contribute to nursing assessment by reporting on prescribed care plans to the named nurse.
• Contribute to risk assessment and risk management by identifying concerns and informing the team.
• Carry out all relevant tasks as directed.
