Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a compassionate nursing aide to join the Philorth ward at Fraserburgh hospital. The role is a 22-hour permanent post with day/night rotation and weekend work, within a 15-bed GP acute/Rehabilitation ward offering stroke rehab and palliative/end-of-life care.

You will assist registered nurses, gain experience in vital signs, urinalysis, ECGs, and wound care, and support rehabilitation as needed, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience of Caring is essential.
• Good communication skills and enjoy working with people to deliver person centred care.

Responsibilities

• Support registered nurses and develop experience in care tasks.
• Record vital signs, urinalysis, ECGs and wound management.
• Assist in rehabilitation at weekends and evenings if required by the treatment plan.
