Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. seeks a skilled Injection Moulding Engineer for a medical device manufacturer based in Waterford. You will develop and implement production methods, monitor moulding processes and support quality resolutions to meet GMP standards.

Responsibilities include tool trials, design/debugging, IQ/OQ/PQ validation, experiments to improve yields and cycle times, and collaboration with production, quality and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Polymer or Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 3 years’ experience in a high-volume moulding environment.
• Experience in cleanroom procedures and medical moulding.
• Familiarity with IQ, OQ and PQ validation and process window studies.
• Lean Six Sigma skills are an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• SIM/RJG process set-up experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new tools, including trials at toolmakers and in-house, tool set-up and handover to production.
• Assist with design and debugging of new systems, tooling and automation.
• Complete IQ, OQ and PQ validation reports.
• Perform designed experiments to improve yields, cycle times and set-ups.
• Act as a key contact for customers, suppliers and toolmakers.
• Maintain moulding process systems, including controls and deviation management.
• Troubleshoot moulding processes and support production leaders.
