Version 1 is recruiting an Infrastructure Consultant to work in a hybrid environment for a public sector client in Ireland. You will administer Windows Server environments, support Active Directory and related Microsoft technologies, manage patches and security remediation, and contribute to incident resolution and project delivery.

The role emphasizes availability, performance, security, and reliability, with collaboration across infrastructure, security and application teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering or consulting roles.
• Experience working with Windows Server environments.
• Experience with VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, Azure Administration, Nutanix.
• Experience with datacentre operations including server installation and cabling.
• Experience with SCCM, SCOM or similar management platforms.
• Experience in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
• Communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting enterprise solutions through their service lifecycle.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience delivering infrastructure services within public sector environments.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with security remediation and vulnerability management programmes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain backup, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
• Produce technical documentation, standards and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application teams.

We are seeking an Infrastructure Consultant to work in a hybrid environment with one of our public sector clients.

You will be responsible for the administration, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation's Windows Server environment and associated infrastructure.
