Job summary

Version 1 seeks an experienced Infrastructure Platform Technical Lead to steer design, delivery and support of enterprise infrastructure with a strong focus on VMware and OpenShift. The role is largely on-premises, requiring leadership across virtualization, platform engineering and automation.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, security teams and suppliers to govern solutions, drive modernization, and ensure secure, resilient platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a senior Infrastructure Platform Lead or similar role.
• Deep expertise in VMware and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with RHEL, storage, backup and DR solutions.
• Strong experience delivering highly available, secure production platforms.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and support of enterprise infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across VMware, OpenShift and core infra technologies.
• Drive governance, design assurance and engineering best practices.
• Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, highly available and operable.
• Champion automation, IaC and continuous improvement.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies and stakeholder engagement.
• Mentor engineering teams and coordinate specialist resources.
