Job summary

Celtic Anglian Water seeks an experienced maintenance electrician with broad electrical industrial plant experience, ideally on water and wastewater equipment.

You will install, calibrate, service and fault-find a wide range of process instruments and support plant control systems, including PLCs and DCS/SCADA. The role requires fault-finding across motors, MCCs and related electrical infrastructure in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrician.
• 3–5 years proven experience as an electrician in an industrial setting.
• Qualified electrician with a third-level qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, service and fault-find a wide range of process analytical instruments.
• Service, maintain and fault-find electrical issues and verify signals back to PLC for plant control functions.
• Demonstrate broad electrical industrial plant experience including motors, MCCs, VSDs and control networks.
• Work with DCS/SCADA systems and PLCs (e.g. Allen Bradley) and follow drawings (PFDs, P&IDs, schematics).

Job description

CAW is seeking an experienced and qualified maintenance electrician with broad electrical industrial plant experience, preferably on water and wastewater equipment.

The ideal candidate would be a qualified electrician with 3 – 5 years proven experience and would be responsible for installing, calibrating, servicing and fault finding a wide range of process analytical instruments.

Candidates should have proven ability to service, maintain & fault find electrical issues. Verification of signals back to PLC for inputs and outputs as required for plant control functions.

The role requires a person with broad electrical industrial plant experience, including:

• Fault-finding and troubleshooting in an industrial environment;
• Motors and MCCs (incl VSDs and ACBs);
• Industrial Process Instrumentation and Control including, Ethernet, Devicenet, Controlnet & Loop control;
• DCS/SCADA Wonderware;
• Allen Bradley PLC’s;
• PLC programming;
• Ability to follow relevant drawings (PFDs , P&IDs, Schematic);
• Experience in 10kv switching and co-generation would be an advantage.

Maintenance Electrician Qualifications Required

• Time-served electrician;
• A third-level qualification would be a distinct advantage.
