Job summary

EPS Group in Cork is seeking an experienced Electrician to join the Operations Division. You will focus on preventative and reactive maintenance in the water and wastewater sector, calibrating on-site instrumentation and verifying motor and PLC signals.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years proven experience, with knowledge of 3-phase motors, pumps, dosing equipment, and fault finding. Familiarity with PLCs, automation, telemetry, and reading control panel schematics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation qualification required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in industrial water/wastewater preferred.
• Full clean driving license; Safe Electric registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and reactive maintenance in water and wastewater sites.
• Calibrate and service on-site instrumentation monitoring equipment.
• Verify motor and instrumentation signals to PLCs and MCCs.
• Follow control panel schematics and troubleshoot faults.
• Install and configure variable speed drives and starters.
• Collaborate with Supervisors/Managers on electrical solutions.
• Complete daily reports and safety documentation.
