Job summary

Morgan McKinley seeks an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a busy manufacturing team in Dublin. The role focuses on maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and control systems across the facility to ensure safe, efficient production with minimal downtime.

You will work with motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, and associated equipment, performing preventative maintenance and assisting with new machinery installations while upholding health and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an electrician in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and electrical control systems.
  • Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and three-phase systems.
  • PLC fault-finding experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
  • Strong health & safety awareness.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot motors, sensors, control panels, drives, PLCs, and associated equipment.
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities in line with the maintenance schedule.
  • Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
  • Carry out electrical inspections, testing, and repairs.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Work closely with mechanical maintenance and production teams.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health & safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and breakdowns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring faults.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a manufacturing team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience to work in a busy production environment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and control systems across the manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.

  • Continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing
