Job summary

PA Consulting in Wicklow, Ireland, near Bray, is seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Designer to join our studio team. You will design consumer electronics and related mass-produced devices, research insights, and craft compelling narratives showcased to clients.

The role emphasizes strong aesthetics, user-centred thinking, and collaboration with researchers, designers and engineers. It’s a hands-on position in a dynamic studio environment in Co.

Qualifications

• Excellent portfolio of industrial design experience showcasing your skills, thinking, and methodology.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design
• Ideally 2 years professional experience in design consultancy/agency
• Fluent sketching and craft modelling
• Exceptional aesthetic sensibility
• Empathetic to user needs, motivations, and behaviours
• Understanding of 3D design; skilled with Rhino/Solid Works and Keyshot
• Proficiency across design tools (e.g. Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Teams)
• Experience with consumer and healthcare brands is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Help design and develop consumer electronics and similar devices for mass production
• Participate in research and mine for insight to inspire solutions
• Build compelling design narratives that convey the brand and audience you are designing for
• Present ideas confidently to clients alongside the team
• Create outstanding product concepts across industries
