Storm Recruitment is recruiting an Import Logistics Operational Assistant for a client in Dublin City Centre. You will join a busy operations team handling Import FCL, LCL and Air Freight end to end, coordinating with Management, Sales and Overseas Agents.

This role requires strong time management, attention to detail and experience with freight forwarding software. Working hours are 9am-5.30pm, with one remote day per week after training; auto-enrolment pension and annual bonus are available.

Formación

• Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A genuine team player with great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to keep clients updated across all services.
• Experience with freight forwarding software such as Azyra or CargoWise is preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping accounting systems is a bonus.
• Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in freight forwarding or import operations.

Responsabilidades

• Receiving and processing Import shipments in coordination with Management.
• Processing booking confirmations accurately and within company procedures.
• Updating the operational system daily.
• Arranging transport for collections and deliveries, and organising customs clearance through brokers.
• Supporting the Sales team with client requirements.
• Responding promptly and efficiently to all client queries.
• Sending weekly tracker reports and shipment tracking updates to clients.
• Liaising with Sales and Management weekly on client feedback.
• Updating and posting vendor invoices in the accounting system.
• Managing and developing relationships with Overseas Agents and contacts.
• Maintaining close client contact by phone and email, keeping them updated on pending and upcoming loads and sailing requirements.
