Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation is seeking Social Care Workers for the Laois Residential Services to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful, connected lives. The role focuses on person-centred approaches, promoting choice and inclusion within the community.

We require a Diploma in Social Care (CORU approved or in process), a valid manual driving licence, and experience with autism/intellectual disabilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Care with CORU registration or in process
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards
• Valid manual driving licence in Ireland
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
• Excellent organisational, logistical and IT skills; team player
• Willing to work across day, weekend, waking night and sleep-over shifts

• Support individuals to realise a vision for a good life via person-centred approaches
• Lead initiatives to help individuals live life of their choosing and engage with local community
• Assist in developing real and authentic relationships and social roles
• Support individuals to connect with community and opportunities
