Job summary

The Early Years Academy Limited is seeking an Early Years and Afterschool Educator to plan, implement and review play-based learning experiences in line with Aistear and Síolta. You will provide warm, responsive care and supervise children during meals, rest periods, and homework support in the afterschool service.

Role requires strong communication and teamwork, knowledge of child development best practices, and QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education, with Level 6+ preferred.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education is required; Level 6+ preferred.
• Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, and child development best practices.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and review play-based learning experiences guided by Aistear/Síolta and National guidelines.
• Provide warm, responsive care including meals, rest routines, and homework support where applicable.
• Ensure safety, supervision ratios, registers and authorised collection procedures.
• Attend team meetings and mandatory training; maintain Garda vetting and qualifications.
