Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and support delivery across civil, utilities and construction projects in Ireland/UK.

You will manage costs, monitor budgets, prepare subcontract packages, process variations, and maintain cashflow and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a QS role on civils/utilities/construction projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract management understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown and analyse project budgets for accurate cost allocation and control.
• Prepare and manage subcontract packages and accounts.
• Process contract variations and claims and maintain records.
• Monitor project cash flow projections and monthly valuations.
• Manage final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Maintain cost reports and risk/variation trackers.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal team to deliver projects.
