Job summary

Allianz plc is seeking a Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager to oversee IFRS GAAP reporting, quarterly and annual financial statements, reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting & Tax, and guide the Reporting team through busy cycles.

You will liaise with Allianz Group, manage external audits, ensure robust controls, and drive reporting efficiencies with strong technical accounting expertise in IFRS and Solvency II.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional with experience in a financial regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of IFRS insurance requirements.
• Ability to analyse and explain technical accounting questions independently.
• Experience coordinating and delivering accurate outputs under multiple deadlines.
• Involvement in IT projects to implement reporting efficiencies.
• Experience with SAP reporting tools (Business Explorer) and Power BI.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual external audit and provide finance information and walkthroughs.
• Manage the reporting team including recruitment and day-to-day supervision.
• Maintain controls framework and address control issues.
• Analyze and present quarterly change to local committees for sign-off.
• Prepare Audit Committee, Risk Committee and Board financial reporting.
• Apply IFRS, Irish GAAP and Solvency II accounting methodologies.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting (QRTs, NSTs, SFCR) as appropriate.
• Collaborate with actuarial, investments, risk and other functions to complete reporting.
• Work with Allianz Group teams to meet Ireland reporting requirements.
• Provide day-to-day support on technical accounting issues and variance analysis.
