Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification required.
• 5+ years post‑qualification accounting/controllership experience.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Record-to-report ownership: IFRS month‑end/quarter‑end close for defined areas (Intangible assets, Capex, embedded leases).
• Technical accounting leadership: guidance on capital projects and policy alignment; assess changes with deadlines.
• Cross‑team collaboration: work with local/global finance teams and GFS for close tasks.
• Financial reporting & commentary: prepare APIO month/quarter packs and variance analysis.
• Balance sheet integrity: review reconciliations and resolve items; strengthen ownership.
• Impairment & costing: assist impairment assessments and cost analyses; ensure IFRS/US GAAP alignment.
• Statutory reporting: support statutory audit and financial statements; liaise with auditors.
• Controls & compliance: operate under SOX framework; assist audits and update control narratives.
• Process improvement: drive efficiency with automation/AI; support AZ integration and S/4HANA deployment.
• Stakeholder engagement: maintain relations across Alexion/AZ network and external parties.
