Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Minimum 5+ years post‑qualification accounting/controllership experience.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong numeracy and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Record‑to‑report ownership: IFRS month‑end and quarter‑end close for defined areas (Intangible assets, Capex, embedded leases).
• Technical accounting leadership: guidance on capital projects and policy alignment; assess treatments with deadlines.
• Cross‑team collaboration: partner with local/global finance teams; liaise with GFS to execute close tasks.
• Financial reporting & commentary: prepare APIO month/end inputs and variance commentary; pack preparation for quarterly meetings.
• Balance sheet integrity: review high‑risk reconciliations; resolve reconciling items and strengthen account ownership.
• Impairment & costing: support impairment assessments and standard cost analyses; investigate anomalies.
• Statutory reporting: support local statutory audit and FRS 102 statements; liaison with auditors.
• US GAAP alignment: assess differences for sub‑consolidation; ensure documentation.
• Tax support: engage with Tax on compliance activities including R&D tax credit submissions.
• Controls & compliance: operate within SOX framework; support audits; update control narratives.
• Management reporting: prepare ad hoc APIO management accounts and packs.
• Process improvement: leverage automation tools and AI to drive efficiencies.
• Transformation & integration: support AZ integration and S/4HANA deployment.
