Job summary

Stewarts Care Ltd invites applications for an Intellectual Disability Community Nurse. The role involves overseeing day service governance, promoting health and wellbeing, and managing daily service delivery.

You will lead planning, develop health assessments, and ensure nursing practice aligns with NMBI requirements and Stewarts Care policies. Applicants should be registered with the NMBI in the RNID division, have at least two years in ID, and demonstrate strong communication and ICT skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal.
• Minimum two years’ experience in Intellectual Disability (ID).
• Ability to provide a person-centred approach to service user programmes.
• The ability to develop, implement and monitor such individual programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance of the day service and oversee service delivery.
• Promote health, welfare and social wellbeing of service users.
• Manage day-to-day planning and activities of the day services.
• Lead the implementation of day services programmes under New Directions.
